The Battleground is always the site of great focus and excitement and 2013 maintained that tradition. We had action covering, in chronological order, the English Civil War, Napoleonic period, American Civil War, World war I, World war Ii and Vietnam. Add to this the wild west shoot-out at Spearfish Creek (featuring the Wyoming Wild Bunch, Saloon Entertainment and the Spearfish guys and gals themselves), Roman Army arms and drill display, Crusades fight display and Viking & Saxons display and there was hardly a period not covered.
Once again we were fortunate to have dry weather with a moderate amount of sunshine.
